It is an uncertain time to be climbing the career ladder, as Brexit and the coronavirus pandemic continue to lead to difficult business decisions and redundancies. At times of crisis, there is also, however, great opportunity, and as the industry goes through rapid change, including the shift from bricks and mortar to online, companies are benefiting from fresh ideas and bold thinking from innovative young people.

Now in its 13th year, the Drapers 30 Under 30 initiative celebrates the rising stars of fashion retail.

Those we have selected for this year’s list have stood out among their peers and achieved great things while the fashion landscape has evolved beneath them. As older businesses have struggled to survive, we are featuring entrepreneurs who have taken the opportunity to launch thriving companies. Many of them are thinking of more than turnover, and have put sustainability at the heart of what they do.

The secret to the success of many more established retailers and brands continues to be their young talent, who can bring innovative ideas. We celebrate the buyers, merchandisers, finance professionals, social media experts, entrepreneurs and many more.
