Now in its 15th year, Drapers 30 Under 30 celebrates the rising stars of fashion retail who are energising the industry and readying it for the future. Those on the 2024 list stood out among their peers, achieving great things and making bold moves despite a shifting, challenging landscape.

It is no doubt a challenging moment to be pursuing a career in fashion, as the industry adapts and evolves to fit the new retail landscape – including changing consumer behaviour, squeezed profit margins and a global cost of living crisis – but an industry going through testing times needs the fresh ideas and innovative thinking of creative young people.

For those intrepid enough to take them, there are new opportunities in technology, data, resale and rental. The core of fashion retail also remains vital, with bricks and mortar stores, the shopping experience and great product a key driving force for business – and an opportunity to rethink and refresh how to do these best for today’s consumers.

Meanwhile, sustainability has never been more salient as the world grapples with the climate crisis and the fashion industry tackles its own environmental footprint. Here, young people can lead the way.
