Womenswear brand Luisa Cerano was created by German brand house the Hauber Group in 1998, bringing the Hauber family’s 150 years of textile expertise to the launch of a new contemporary label.
Today, Luisa Cerano is stocked in more than 50 countries. The UK and Ireland are two of its most successful markets, thanks to a network of independent wholesale stockists.
Known for its drop delivery system, whereby five different collection themes are brought to retailers throughout each season, the brand focuses on craftsmanship and quality via timeless designs that nod to the season’s key fashion trends.
Here, Drapers brings you an exclusive preview of the first three themes for the upcoming AW23 season.
Purple rain
Retro references pay homage to the 1970s and 1980s this season, making a colourful appearance throughout Luisa Cerano’s AW23 collection.
Eye-catching tones of purple pop against classic neutrals such as creamy camel and warm grey, and are complemented by party-ready gold metallics.
Some of the must-have pieces include new dress designs splashed in bold, vintage-inspired floral prints, and casual wide-leg cropped trousers that feature pared-back cargo pant design details.
A deep purple, fuzzy textured jacket with statement gold buttons promises to be a transitional favourite that will see shoppers from autumn into winter.
Time to shine
The winter months bring with them the festive party season, and next year will be a time to dress up in Luisa Cerano’s AW23 collection, which delivers designs full of sparkle. Shimmering silver rhinestones and shiny sequins appear alongside metallic threaded jersey and sparkling knits, while matte-gloss fabric eff ects add more layers of shine to monochrome looks.
Matching sets – such as a blazer, tailored trousers and matching shirt – stand out in rich jewel-like tones including deep turquoise and petrol blue. These appear alongside several partywear dresses in feminine, slim-line silhouettes, often with short hemlines and accentuated waistlines. Halternecks and skin-baring cut-outs also add unique design details throughout the collection.
Edgy contrasts
Black is back for AW23, but comes contrasted with seasonal sparkle or textured pieces for a new-season take. For example, a flowing, black, boho-style dress with smocked details at the waist and wrists is teamed with a tailored blazer jacket in glittering silver sequins.
More womenswear-meets-menswear contrasts take the form of tweedy suiting mixed with soft blouses and cosy knitwear with dramatic cut-outs.
Another new-season colour theme is shots of whiskey browns in separates such as suede trousers, long wool coats and matching tops, for a luxurious looking styling effect.
Wholesale prices range from €44 (£38.35) for a T-shirt to €378 (£326.69) for a coat.
