Co-founders, Rixo
Premium womenswear label Rixo continued to dominate the fashion crowd’s wardrobes this year, having attracted fans such as US actress Sandra Bullock and British TV stars Holly Willoughby and Millie Mackintosh.
It launched its first accessories collection in February, comprising bags, belts, jewellery and scarves, in addition to a collaboration capsule with French influencer Sabina Socol in May. The brand opened a pop-up shop on Chelsea’s King’s Road to coincide with its London Fashion Week presentation in September.
Although Rixo came under fire in April for plagiarising Filipina artist Feanne Mauricio’s prints, it bounced back from the dispute by issuing a public apology and announcing a collaborative project with Mauricio on its website.
Rixo has more than 140 global stockists, including Net-a-Porter, Harrods, Saks Fifth Avenue and Galeries Lafayette, and has grown its staff from two to more than 35 in just four years.
