Kicking off the new season with rugby-inspired brand Eden Park

French brand Eden Park celebrates its 35th anniversary with a renewed focus on the UK via a debut at menswear trade show IMC this summer.

For more than 30 years, Eden Park has been known as the quintessential French brand inspired by the sport of rugby.

Today, its wholesale collection boasts more than 350 styles each season, incorporating its classic core collection and traditional, timeless pieces alongside seasonal trends and fashion-led designs.

Offering men’s, women’s and children’s wear, Eden Park has a reputation for quality and attention to detail mixed with rugby styling, as well as its signature pink bow-tie logo.

Highlights for men this season include a versatile navy blazer, a caramel-coloured suede jacket, tailored cargo pants and shirts for every occasion – from printed short-sleeved holiday designs to casual checks and smart stripes.

Eden Park was founded in 1987 by Franck Mesnel and Eric Blanc, two international rugby players who met at multi-sports club the Racing Club de France and decided to launch their own premium fashion brand.

Currently sold in 550 points of sale across 34 countries, the brand is still expanding. The latest Eden Park own-brand store opened in the French capital of Paris in October 2022.

It has been sold in the UK via Double H agency since 2010, and has 25 wholesale stockists in the UK, including Jackie James in Carmarthen, Wales, Hall Street in Long Melford in Suffolk, Henmores in Ashford, Keith James in Leeds, County Clothes in Canterbury and Elliotts of Lymington.

Wholesale prices range from £20 for a T-shirt to £100 for a jacket.

Marc Querol, managing director of Double H, says: “Eden Park is one of the strongest brands in the agency. It is considered by all the rugby world as a true rugby brand. The true story behind it, the rugby links and the quality of the styles make a huge difference in front of the buyers.”

Today, the brand’s connection to the sport of rugby is as strong as ever. Its latest ambassador is Josh Van Der Flier, the Irish rugby union flanker and winner of the Six Nations Rugby Championship 2023.

Eden Park has also teamed up with British rugby union team Leicester Tigers as its formalwear partner, dressing both the men’s and women’s first teams.

And the brand has partnered with the Rugby World Cup 2023, which is being hosted in its native France in September. It will play a prominent role as the official “elegance supplier”, dressing the 2023 tournament officials in its formalwear.

Double H will be showing Eden Park’s spring/summer 24 collection from 10 July in its London showroom in Islington, north London.

It will also be exhibiting for the first time at menswear trade show IMC, which takes place on 22-24 July at Whittlebury Park in Northamptonshire.
